“We feel that Clarkey is an unbelievable talent and he will just grow in stature, particularly in the system we will play.’

The words of Coventry City manager Andy Thorn on 20-year-old right-back Jordan Clarke who is set to become a Sky Blues regular in the upcoming season after finishing well under their new boss last year and signing a new three-year contract.

Across the right-back and central defensive areas Thorn certainly has plenty of competition for places with Richard Keogh having filled in well across the middle in the final weeks of the season and Ben Turner hopefully back to full fitness, as well as Richard Wood, Martin Cranie, Nathan Cameron and James McPake.
