Coventry City supporters look set to be starved of any concrete news on their club until July as talks on a possible deal over the Ricoh Arena enter a period of due diligence with the Higgs Charity estimating any potential agreement taking seven weeks.

The transfer embargo that is in place is unlikely to be lifted before then as the chance to own a piece of the club’s stadium seems to be the only show in town now for owners SISU.

Only if a deal is done does it seem likely that accounts will be filed, a budget set and the embargo lifted for Andy Thorn to try and make emergency repairs to his punctured squad.

The endgame of the whole SISU/ownership saga has seemed within sight a number of times over the past year or so but really does seem to be approaching now.

June will be a very long month for all fans of the club.
