Dave Jones’ only complaint about Cardiff City’s win at the Ricoh Arena was that his side should have had more goals.

‘How we didn’t come in 5-0 at half time… unbelievable,’ he said after a comfortable success for the Bluebirds.

‘We kept going in the second half and we upped the tempo.’

A stretched squad finally caught up with the Sky Blues and boss Chris Coleman admitted his side were second best.

‘They are a very good side – as good as anything in this division,’ he said of Cardiff.

‘They are strong in every department and they will be in the play-offs at least.

They could close that gap, there are a lot of games to go and nobody likes going to Ninian Park because it is always an intimidating atmosphere.’
