Barnsley manager Simon Davey is glad to see the back of Coventry City after a third successive heavy defeat for his side against the Sky Blues.

‘There is no disaster at Barnsley football club, but unfortunately it’s two heavy defeats against Coventry this season,’ he said after Saturday’s 4-0 reverse at the Ricoh.

‘They are a bit of a bogey side. Thank God we don’t play them every week.

‘I didn’t expect it with their position but it is always a hard game here. Some of my players didn’t turn up.’
