Colin Cameron believes a run of games will help him show Coventry City fans his best form.

The former Scotland international has been in and out of the side since joining from Wolves in the summer but should feature against Southend on Friday with Chris Birchall unlikely to return from international duty in time.

‘It has been frustrating having to wait for my chance again,’ the 33-year-old told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

‘I played three games in a row earlier on in the season and then the manager made a tactical decision to change it and I found myself sitting on the bench for the next three or four games, which was a bit hard to take.

‘I just got my head down and worked really hard in training to try to get back in, and it is disappointing that when I did get back in and we went and lost our first home game this season.

‘So that’s not good, but I believe in my own ability and I felt that I played well against Plymouth.’
