Coventry City travel to face League Two’s bottom side Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon, both clubs having signed defenders ahead of the closure of the transfer window.

The Spireites have drafted in free agent Matthew Briggs on a short-term deal, the 26-year-old having been released by Colchester United at the end of last season.

That was added to the capture of Zak Jules from Shrewsbury Town on a loan deal until January.
