The Sky Blues were outplayed in the first half last night at Swansea and were lucky to go in just one goal down. After the break they again conceded a goal from poor defensive play giving themselves a mountain to climb.

But to give the team some credit they took the game to the Swans after their second goal and were unlucky not to score for than the one goal from Ben Turner.

Aidy Boothroyd told the PA, ‘We got some pride back in the second half. But if you are to get out of this league, you can’t mix it up like we did.

‘We looked lost in the first half, then did more of what we’ve been working on after the break. It was not acceptable, even when your not playing well you can be on the front foot and we were not’

City train today and begin to focus on the difficult trip on Saturday to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City with 90 minutes of consistency the target.
