Boothroyd happy with quiet window

While inconsistent results continue to frustrate Coventry City fans, most feel that the club is going forward under Aidy Boothroyd, who has taken on a squad that was built up by Chris Coleman (under the transfer policy laid down by Ray Ranson and the board) and combined getting more out of those already at the club with a number of new signings of his own.

Progress continues to be slow but in the right direction both on and off the field where the announcement of next year’s season ticket prices has generally been welcomed.

Boothroyd has been backed in the transfer market despite the loss that the club continues to operate at and feels his men are responding well to what he wants.

To that end it has been a very quiet transfer window for City with none of the frenzied speculation or managerial upheaval that has been seen elsewhere in the Championship.

‘There’s been no interest at all in any of our players,’ said the manager on Thursday.

‘I read where certain people are going every week but nobody ever seems to go there which is good.

‘And in terms of incomings we’re in a similar sort of position really, I’ve got targets but I’m comfortable enough with where we are, providing we can get everybody back (from injury).’
