After the slightest shaft of sunlight shone through into the murky world of Coventry City Football Club last week the blinds have been pulled down by chief executive Tim Fisher.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph on Tuesday he dismisses talk of interest from Chinese investors and paints a picture of a perfect storm of high rent, stadium costs and lack of revenue streams which threaten the very existence of the club.

A bleak outlook indeed with the ongoing dialogue between the club, SISU and the owners of the Ricoh Arena providing, at present, the only possible solution.
