Mark Robins paid tribute to the 1,000+ Coventry City fans in attendance at Leyton Orient on Saturday after the Sky Blues ground out a hard-fought victory in East London.
‘They were fantastic as usual – and when you`ve got a travelling support like we have you want to put in a performance for them,’ he told the Coventry Telegraph.
City’s away support has been the plus point of the season to date with large contingents at smaller grounds such as the Matchroom Stadium creating an excellent atmosphere, one that the players have not always risen to.
Saturday’s scrappy win was very welcome, however, and Robins will now look to produce some better home results starting with the FA Cup this weekend.
