Andrews for Owls?

Coventry City frontman Wayne Andrews looks poised to join Sheffield Wednesday on loan on Thursday.

The summer signing from Crystal Palace has only just got back into the first-team picture after injury problems delayed the start of his Sky Blues career.

Manager Micky Adams said: ‘Wayne Andrews has only just got going really, and needs games.

‘I have spoken to him about it and told him that maybe it might be worth him going out for a month to get some games in a team somewhere, so we will look at that in the next couple of days, but he just needs match fitness.

‘Wayne can play down the middle or out wide and if he goes out and gets games and comes back we have got real competition for places.’
