And still nothing official

At 10:45am on Thursday morning, with every national newspaper carrying the story that Coventry City FC are about to go into administration and with Iain Dowie being quoted as saying he will consider his position as manager, the official club website’s main story is a flashback to a League Cup tie against Nottingham Forest in 1990.

It is no wonder that crowds at the Ricoh Arena dropped to an all-time low on Tuesday night when the club continues to treat supporters as idiots.

It is unbelievable that we should have to rely on the information we can glean, mainly from the Coventry Telegraph and other media sources at the most crucial time in the club’s history.

Having regular updates on the situation issued to fans via the official channels would not have stopped the crisis, but they would have gone someway towards easing the ‘us and them’ feeling that exists.
