And It’s Goodbye From Him?

Preston Haskell IV has indicated his interest in buying Coventry City is over after the decision by the club’s administrator to accept a bid from Otium Entertainments, a company connected to SISU.

He called the administrator, Paul Appleton, ‘ very professional’ and seemingly accepted the decision that had been made ‘according to the law.’

If that is the case then what realistic hope did Mr Haskell have of buying the club? And do his token platitudes towards supporters signal the end of his brief phase of interest?

SISU have made huge mistakes in their failed attempt to turn around the CCFC juggernaut as it careered into oblivion but it appears any other interested parties have disappeared as quickly as they materialised.

Their interest in buying the club seems to have differed little from the current owners, that is the opportunity to make money.

***Update***Monday’s CT suggests that Mr Haskell may not have disappeared from the scene just yet and maintains an interest in purchasing half of ACL and therefore the Ricoh Arena.
