Micky Adams felt his side should have won more comfortably against Luton Town on Saturday than the final 2-1 scoreline.

First-half goals from Stern John and Gary McSheffrey enabled Coventry to withstand a late fightback and pushed them back into the top ten of the Championship.

Adams said after the game: ‘We had a bit of luck early on with two great saves from Marton (Fulop) but we got the goals and dominated after that.

‘The disappointing thing is that we didn’t score any more because at just 2-0 there is always a chance for the opposition.

‘We need another three big performances now to finish the season on a high.’
