A late Billy Clarke goal handed the home side all three points at Portman Road and Coventry boss Micky Adams had no complaints afterwards.

He said: ‘Ipswich took their chances, we didn’t. We failed to live up to the standard we showed against Norwich on Saturday.

‘To do well in this league you must be very consistent. We have new faces and must find out about each other quickly.

‘We knew it would be difficult but I was disappointed with how we conceded.’
