Coventry City manager Micky Adams has confirmed he was in the hunt for Lee Croft before the winger’s £600,000 move from Manchester City to Norwich at the weekend.

‘Our recruitment is ongoing,’ said Adams.

‘We were in for Lee Croft and we are disappointed to miss out on that one, but we have other targets which we will pursue this week.’

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce meanwhile has told the Evening Mail that a third offer for Gary McSheffrey was made on Friday, although he did not disclose the amount.
