Loan signings have made their mark on Coventry City fans over the years, some in a good way and some in a bad way, with plenty of others whose time at the club will be remembered by very few!

Among the successes are Chris Marsden (signed from lower league Huddersfield and then wastefully allowed to join Wolves after a superb loan spell), Micky Quinn (whose goals lit up the 1992/93 season and made a move from Newcastle a certainty) and Mick Ferguson (who re-joined his former club on loan from Birmingham in 1984 and helped relegate Blues with his goals).

In recent years, Stephen Warnock, Kasper Schmeichel and Jordan Henderson have all left positive memories.

The failures are too many to mention unfortunately, especially since relegation to the Championship, when signing loan players was sometimes (although not always) the only option available.

That led to teams under Gary McAllister and Eric Black that were packed full of loanees, including the never-to-be-remembered Jamie McMaster, Juan Sara, Courtney Pitt and Sebastian Olszar.

Where are they now?
