Friday dawns bleakly for Coventry City supporters after another dramatic night off the field ahead of a High Court case in London this morning.

The scenario of the club’s future changed dramatically on Thursday evening after SISU placed a ‘non-operating’ property company into administration in a move designed to write off the debt to stadium owners ACL.

That may have ended the threat of a points penalty (although nothing is certain and the Football League may look dimly at an attempt to get around the rules) which would effectively end the season.

Reports then emerged, however, that the club, having now breached their contract with ACL, will play their remaining games this season at another ‘home’ ground.

More will come out throughout the day, no doubt, but the prospects of good news look as bleak as the weather.

***11am Update***ACL say they have no intention of locking City out of the stadium but the prospects of avoiding the points penalty have been cast into doubt.
