The Coventry Telegraph has reported an excellent response to its petition to keep Coventry City playing in Coventry amid talk of a move away for next season due to the ongoing rent row at the Ricoh Arena.

Over 4,300 signatures were garnered on the first day.

‘Together we believe we can apply pressure on the club and the Football League to ensure the Sky Blues kick off next season at the Ricoh rather than a stadium outside of Coventry,’ said Telegraph Sports Editor Keith Perry.

CCFC, meanwhile, have said they will host a series of forums over the coming weeks to explain to supporters the ‘short-term plans and long-term vision’ of the club.
