The 4pm deadline on Friday draws ever closer for Coventry City with the latest news being that the Ray Ranson-led takeover has suffered a hitch at the 11th hour.

Joe Elliott remains positive of a deal but the game of brinksmanship continues.

  • im sure you are concerned, but how many clubs have actually ceased to exist as a result of bankruptcy, administration etc, think about it.

  • That’s true mate but what about the local businesses etc who will be out of pocket? It doesn’t do the reputation of the club much good.

  • just look at the damage Leeds have done twice to their local businesses’s with taking the admin route and then look at Altrincham FC. They could have done admin 4 years ago but decided to honour their debts-result debts cleared-good feeling-local shops and suppliers ok.

  • Once the first club goes to the wall in the present day many will follow. For your sakes I hope it’s not you.
